Production and preparation

Can be prepared by heating rhodium metal in oxygen at 600°C. Alternatively, the dark-grey oxide will also form by simply heating rhodium(III) nitrate.


Behavior and Chemical Properties


History and Uses

Use in catalytic convertor in automobiles. It is also used as industrial catalysts in manufacturing of chemical intermediates such as oxo-alcohols, as well as nitric acid and ethanoic (acetic) acid productions.
